The Profilux 3 is already a great piece of workmanship offering anyone a host of options and ports, but for those who just cant get enough, well read on!

Aqua Digital says:

The first photo is of the front panel, Pretty exctiting eh! But dont be fooled, what lies beneath is what matters.

Profilux 3 Expansion - Front

The second photo below is the one that counts. As you can see the master expansion box (as I like to call it) has the following built in features

2 x level ports
1 x Temp port
1 x pH port
1 x Redox port
1 x Conductivity/salinity port
4 x 1-10V ports
2 x PAB sockets
5 x spare ports that can be filled with dual mode cards making the box equipped to expand to a further 10 utilities!!

The PAB sockets are for PAB equipment (PAB power bars etc) and for the addition of further expansion boxes. Now you can see why the ProfiLux 3 is Infinite expandable!!

Profilux 3 Expansion Back

This model of expansion box is aimed at two markets

1. The client that does not have as yet the profiLux EX upgrade fitted and would prefer to seperate some functions, for example if their sump was in the basement, you would then run the PAB ethernet cable down to the basement and have the expansion box seated neatly by the tank. This deletes the need for long extender cables or messy expansion modules on cables.

If you notice you also get a lot more features than the EX upgrade kit, so it lends itself well to those who want the ultimate of control functionalities, but not located in the Profilux 3.

2. The other market for this box is for those who wish to run seperate systems or commercial fish houses, as noted above the box can be extended on further, in effect having one box per system running off the master profLux 3 controller.

A Basic box will also be launched in time that will just be expansion slots where the client can choose what they wish to fill it with, more details on this will follow in time.

———–

Go get one!!! I’ll comment in a price for you as soon as I get it!

The new aquarium controller Profilux 3 by GHL has officially been exposed.
Michael from Aqua Digital gives us all the scoop on the Reef Central forum.

Read on for all the details!

Aqua Digital Presents to you the future of Aquatic Control!!

Unchaining Aquatic Controllers from Just the Fish Tank

GHL ProfiLux the award winning aquatic controllers from Germany have long been associated with strong proven reliability and also putting the client’s thoughts first, just as the Profilux plus II can be forward engineered into a Profilux 3 thus not making the client buy a complete new controller as technology moves forward.

GHL now bring you the future today!

The ProfiLux 3 has been designed for the discerning reef keeper that demands 100% proven reliability at all times with the most advanced functions on the market today; this includes the ability to communicate and control many third party units allowing the user to save money on other independent controllers. This includes in the very near future full household automation.

ProfiLux 3 unlocking its powers beyond just the Reef Tank!

The ProfiLux 3-system due to the ProfiLux Aquatic Bus (PAB) can be extended unlimitedly, up to 255 devices can be connected to PAB. The PAB has built in error detection ensuring fail safe and advanced reliable operation. The PAB is a unique bus system only to the ProfiLux.

This new machine looks MUCH better than the II, check out the stats…

The full Profilux III will cost $599, which includes:

Temperature Probe

(2) Level Sensor

pH

(4) 1-10v interfaces

USB

RS232

LAN with built in webserver

The Profilux III EX will run an additional $100, for $699 total. Like the II and II EX differences, the III EX includes all the above listed items plus:

An additional Level

Redox

Conductivity (salinity)

Additional L5L6, 1-10v interfaces

For owners looking to upgrade to the full Profilux III EX, first an EX kit must be added upgrading the model to the II EX. From there the III upgrade kit can be added for the full III EX features.

Expect to hear more once it hits the floors at MACNA at the end of this month.

The RKM-SL2 is the newest System Lab module from Digital Aquatics. It’s a big leap forward with fully (and individually,) isolated PH and salinity ports.

The SL2 also allows for another temperature probe to be added to the system for redundant monitoring as well as two more switch inputs; great for ATO systems or leak detectors.

The new ReefKeeper Lite is a big change to business as usual! It’s small, expandable and perfect for nano tanks, beginners, and people looking for a mid level controller!

The ReefKeeper Lite or RKL as it’s known here, has a 5 (mechanical) button interface and a larger 16 x 2 LCD display for easy readability. While some of the advanced modules and features of the RKE are not available for the RKL, it will have more than enough power to monitor and control single tank systems, as well as small to mid sized tanks alike!
