Current USA is featuring a new line of aquariums called Cardiff and Solana.
The Cardiff is a 24 gallon glass aquarium with an extreme bow-front. This allows for a pleasing all-around view of the tank. Hidden behind the tank is a full setup to keep your tank going including:
- Intake venturi protein skimmer
- Surface-skimming overflow
- Built in freshwater top-off system
- Biological, mechanical and chemical filtration
- Dedicated heater section with constant level water flow
- Flexible return nozzle with dual outlets
The tank is covered with a removable beveled top and stands are available in 3 tasteful colors to suit any decor.
Lighting options include either a dual compact fluorescent or a metal halide pendant style (MH pendant is pictured below.

The Solana is a more traditional 34 gallon cube format that again includes a full system hidden behind it’s black background the same as the Cardiff above.
A bit more versatile, the lighting options are greater includign the pendants as mentioned above but also any host of other standard lights can be used due to it’s right-angled design.
Stands with 1 drawer and a windowed-cupboard are also available, again in 3 delightful colors.
Price for the Solana run around $300 US plus stand and light. The Cardiff will run you a bit more at around $600 including stand. Check your local retailers for more accurate pricing.
